Growing Conditions

Devil’s Dive is located on the Old Mission Peninsula. The vineyard is farmed using sustainable & organic techniques that help the sense of terroir intact. The vineyard is much cooler than many of the southern vineyard sites. This makes for a fresher & more acid driven expression of Pinot Blanc.

Bottling

Lightly cross flow filtered & bottled under screw cap to preserve the freshness of the wine

Winemaking

This Pinot Blanc from the Devil’s Dive vineyard was grown using sustainable farming techniques with a focus on quality rather than quantity. The grapes were received cold & pressed whole-cluster, utilizing dry ice in the press pan to limit oxidation & to preserve the delicate aromatics in Pinot Blanc. The wine was fermented at 54 degrees in stainless steel for the first week using wild yeast to add character & better express the terroir of the vineyard. It was then inoculated with our house white strain to finish with a precision of flavor expression. It rested on its lees up until bottling to build body, it was prevented from going through malo-lactic fermentation. This Pinot Blanc is meant to be enjoyed now through 2026. Its refreshing acidity will make it perfect for Michigan summers.
