Elegant light texture. It starts with a fruitiness up front followed by a nice backbone of tanins in the finish.
Growing Conditions
This fruit comes from our Matheson vineyard where it sits on the top of the hill down to the east facing section of the slope.
Winemaking
Beautifully ripe fruit with a deep purple color from very complete and early leaf thinning in the vineyard. Traditional methods with 5 punchdowns a day before barrel aging.
Aging
Aged in French oak, 65% neutral with 35% new barrels
Appearance
Elegant ruby red.

Thanksgiving dinner with all of the beautiful herbs and richness of a slow roasted turkey.
