Nose
This wine has aromas of melon and strawberry with soft floral notes of jasmine and rose.
Palate
On the palate, the wine opens with notes of tart cherry accented by rose petals followed by crisp, refreshing acidity and a long, smooth finish.
Growing Conditions
2023 was the best growing season since we started in 2014.
Dry and Cool with heat spikes at just the right time.
Harvest
We harvested the grapes in Mid-September, a month earlier than the rest of our Marquette to help facilitate the flinty dryness that is a key characteristic of our award winning Rosé wine style.
Bottling
Wine was hand-bottled in early February 2024. We used a Novatwist Closure.
Winemaking
After Hand selecting clusters from our Marquette rows early in the harvest season we started our Vin Gris, lightly pressed off the juice to extract the least amount of color. Early during fermentation we added a highly purified gallnut tannin to protect the delicate flavors and minimize our sulfur dioxide additions.
Aging
