Medium body with a bright finish.

Growing Conditions

Heavy producing vineyard with a clay pan beneath for water retention in what would be an excessively dry site.

Winemaking

The newly released blend is 75% Cabernet Franc grown on the Fresh Coast of the Leelanau Peninsula with the additional of 25% Syrah blended from the West Coast.

Aging

Cab Franc aged 14 months in French Oak.

Food Pairing

The acid on the end makes this wine ideal to pair with game, grilled skirt steak, brats and other types of sausage, and hard cheese such as fontina or parmesan.
