Nose
Ripe and juicy on the nose with yellow pears and apple butter, along with lemon curd, almond and peanut brittle, along with scents of yellow flowers and hay
Palate
The palate is richly textured but medium bodied with moderate acidity and flavors of yellow pears and apples. The balance is nice between the richer elements (hazelnut, lemon crème, whipped honey) with notes of minerals and sea salt. Deep but racy with harmonious flavors

Aging
Aged a full year in new French oak barrels with light battonage once every two weeks until the end of malolactic. The first racking is postponed as long as possible until the new vintage is near, so that the barrels are only empty a short time. Then the wine is racked into stainless steel, taking the lees with it, for an extra six months. This is a vital step to receive mico-oxygenation in the wood, then reduction in stainless steel that gives the wine a vertical tension.
