What role does the diverse terroir play in the profile of your wines? Does it impact the acidity and aromas that develop?

"The unique climate of Michigan, especially the lake effect and cool nights due to our proximity to Lake Michigan, enhances our wine's crisp acidity and depth of flavor. The variety of our seasonal weather, particularly the risk of late frosts, demands precision in our vintage dates, profoundly impacting our vineyard decisions and the character of our wines.”

What role does the diverse terroir play in the profile of your wines? Does it impact the acidity and aromas that develop?

"Located on the eastern shores of Lake Michigan, our vineyards benefit from the lake effect, which moderates our climate and shields us from extreme weather. This natural insulation allows for delayed bud breaks and an extended growing season, contributing to the complex aromatics and structured acidity in our wines."

The heart of our selection process lies in finding grapes that reach full ripeness within our growing season's constraints, with aromatics and acidity being key strengths.
