Palate
Notes of Asian pear, passion fruit and papaya hit the palate
first and are supported by a crème brûlée and vanilla finish. Rich enough for those who love a silken Chardonnay, this vintage will also please fruit‐forward wine lovers.
Winemaking
Before pressing, the must sat on the skins for a couple hours. All the lots used to make this wine were barrel fermented and completed malolactic fermentation. Sur lie aged in French oak for 27 months, the barrels were stirred each month to enhance aromatics, flavors and mouthfeel.
Aging
Creamy and fruity, our 2016 Chardonnay is a balance of fresh flavors and well‐integrated oak. Barrel‐fermented and aged on the lees, this wine expresses a smooth, buttery bouquet interwoven with hints of clove.
